What sets us apart is our deep commitment to supporting our clients through a dedicated team.
Key Highlights
· Comprehensive Addiction Treatment: We offer Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient program (IOP) that includes 3 to 6 additional months of General Outpatient (GOP) that goes beyond traditional recovery methods. Our approach includes evidence-based therapy, life skills training, adulting skills, strength-based therapy and addressing physical health and nutrition needs.
· Holistic Approach: The Next Right Thing in Recovery believes that recovery is not just about sobriety. It's about building lives. Our programs focus on helping individuals acquire essential life and adulting skills, enhancing their physical health to achieve lasting and holistic recovery.
· Community Engagement: We believe in giving back to the community. Connection is an important factor to long-term recovery. Our treatment center actively engages clients in community projects, instilling a sense of purpose and responsibility in their lives. Helping them to just keep doing “The Next Right Thing.”
In addition we have an on-site Peer Connection Clubhouse. Here clients and friends can come and socialize with one another during business hours. Clients are welcome to workout, play games, watch TV, surf the net, play pool, or just connect with others in recovery. The goal of the clubhouse is to have a safe free space to hang out and meet others in recovery. Our hope is this will help build stronger bonds and peer connection. As well as teach each client ways to interact with others without the use of substances.
Introducing Our Organization
The Next Right Thing in Recovery
To many without an addiction, it may seem like a no-brainer. "Just get sober and life will fall into place". Sadly, this is not the case. Many people who grow up with an addiction have not learned many important life skills. Things the "Normie's" take for granted every day—things like how to properly clean your home, do laundry, cooking, interviewing, dressing for interviews, social etiquette, professional etiquette, taxes, credit, budgeting, Shopping, and even bank accounts. The list is long.
When you grow up in a house with addicted parents, these important skills are replaced with worries: where you will sleep or how to stay warm in the winter because mom used the rent to buy drugs and now your on the street again; how you will feed yourself and your younger siblings, Finding clothing and a safe place to hide becomes your priority, not education and life skills. For many, this is a familiar story—living life in constant survival mode.
If you do not know how to live and function in your community, you will go back to what you know, what feels safe and normal to you. Many people with addiction have criminal records. This adds to the barriers addicts face when they try to re-enter society. As does the feeling of being an outsider because you are unable to rent an apartment and find long term employment.
But if you are taught the skills to live, not just to survive, if you learn the recovery tools AND the life/adulting skills you need before being thrown back into the community; if your basic needs are met; if you have a safe place to live; a job with a livable wage—not just one you can get, but one you have been taught how to keep and maintain; if your credit is on the mend, and your taxes are current; if you have a safe place to sleep with rent you can afford; if you know how to shop for food and live within your means on a budget; and if you have community ties and connections to healthy friends; then we believe you can and will maintain sobriety.
The Next Right Thing believes with the knowledge on how to be sober, AND the life skills to maintain sobriety coupled with physical health and nutrition needs being met and lasting connections to peers and the community, everyone who comes through the program can actively live in society successfully. We will provide an individualized month-by-month plan for every person who comes through the program, tailored to your needs, meeting you wherever you are in recovery.
